WHAT WE DO?
We deliver training in The Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression (PMVA) & Breakaway. Our courses are delivered at the highest level by competent NFPS trained Instructors who have experience in working in the forensic psychiatry over the years. We also make sure that all the delegates are monitored and their training needs are met at all times in order to master their skills. The courses are accredited by the National Federation for Personal Safety (NFPS), a global leading expert on these subjects.

I have worked in the healthcare industry since 2004 and have experience working in the NHS as well as in the private organisation. Throughout my journey in the health sector I was able to identify my strengths and weaknesses which enabled me to go on to the next level of my career. I have a BSC in Mental Health Nursing, Diploma in health and social care, BTEC Level 3 in the delivery of conflict management training (managing conflict in the workplace when dealing with service users, customers or the public, Delivering scenario-based conflict management), BTEC Level 3 Advanced Award in Safe and effective use of restraint equipment, BTEC Level 3 Advanced Award in Physical Restraint Practice and Edexcel BTEC Level 3 in Teaching Qualification (PTTLS).
With the experience of working in a forensic environment I have been able to enhance my knowledge and skills in order to adapt to any challenging situations. I have worked with clients with a variety of mental health needs such as Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, Depression, Personality Disorder, Alcohol and Drugs induced psychosis, Asperger’s syndrome, Huntington disease, Child and Adolescent Services, Eating Disorder Unit, Community Psychiatric Nursing, Alcohol and Drug clinic and within the Assessment & Treatment team. I have an insight of how conflict management and resolution can prevent a greater impact without going into physical interventions which is a last resort in a challenging situation. Together let us deliver a safe practice in order to create a safer environment.
I started my healthcare career working with young children who suffered with learning difficulties, before progressing into working within the adult secure forensic services which is where I found my passion in helping adults with an array of mental health problems and helping them through everyday life whilst assisting them on the road to recovery.
I have worked in secure services for over 10 years and have experienced work with various people with various mental health problems. I have had the pleasure of helping a good number of clients who progressed and eventually released back into general society. While working within this field I have undertaken trainings in Patient Boundaries, POVA, Manual Handling, Security and searches, mental health act, Infection control, Health and Safety and qualified in several awards to enhance my knowledge. To continue my journey I undertook trainings such as NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care, B-Tec Level 3 awards in Conflict management, Advanced Award in safe and effective use of restraint equipment, Physical Restraint and the Safe practice and I have also been awarded a teaching qualification (PTTLLS) from Edexcel.
